Updating Operating System and DataMate Program

You can use a TI-GRAPH LINK™ cable and a computer to upgrade the operating system and DataMate program of your LabPro or CBL 2™. For more information on DataMate, please consult the DataMate Guidebook. To perform this upgrade you will need to download an update file. The update file combines the most recent DataMate program and the most recent operating system. This upgrade also provides access to a directory program called DataDir.

Important: To use the TI-83 Plus Silver Edition with CBL 2 or LabPro you need to have the latest version of the Operating System on your Graphing Handheld. For the TI-83 Plus Silver Edition, you need version 1.15 or higher of the TI-83 Plus Operating System.

*The update can be performed using the Gray or Black (serial) TI-GRAPH LINK cable under the following operating systems: Windows 95 (must have TI Connect™ installed), Windows NT, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME and Windows XP. The update can be performed using the USB TI-GRAPH LINK cable under the following operating systems: Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME and Windows XP.

**The update can be performed under any operating system which supports TI Connect™ for Macintosh. You will need to have TI Connect installed on the computer to perform the update. TI Connect works with the Gray (serial) or USB TI-Graph Link cables.
