Q: What happens when an alpha particle goes in a cow’s ear?
A: It goes in one ear and out the utter.
(Thanks to Lois E. Lyons, High Tech HS, Lincroft, NJ)

From our 1988 newsletter:
It is the first day of school and mother goes in to see why her son has not gotten up to get ready for school.
Mother: "You’re going to be late for school!"
Son: "I’m not going to school."
Mother: "Why not?"
Son: "The kids hate me and the teachers hate me."
Mother: "I’ll give you two good reasons why you have to go to school: You’re 45 years old, and you’re the principal."
