Our class will be in the Caribbean. We have temperature, conductivity and pH sensors. we also have the book Earth Science with Computers. In addition to those in this book are there any other experiments that the class can perform with the sensors and if so where can we find the procedures?

There are other water quality tests in our Water Quality with Vernier lab book, but they would require other sensors, too. Also note that ocean water is above the concentration the Conductivity Probe can read. If you want to use this, you will need to dilute your ocean water by a factor of four, measure the reading, and multiply by four to get the "real" undiluted reading.

Thanks for the information on the conductivity probe. The dilution procedure worked well.
Is there a conversion for uS/cm to seawater salinity units of ppt?

2 uS/cm = 1 ppm = 0.001 ppt
