Hi,

Well, I'm very glad you got it working!

I'm curious what other forums you'd looked at that suggested USB didn't work?  I'd love to post some corrections -- help make sure other people don't draw the same conclusions.

Thanks, again, for using the software!

There are other water quality tests in our Water Quality with Vernier lab book, but they would require other sensors, too. Also note that ocean water is above the concentration the Conductivity Probe can read. If you want to use this, you will need to dilute your ocean water by a factor of four, measure the reading, and multiply by four to get the "real" undiluted reading.

We have upgraded to Labquests and have 10 Labpros to sell.  Very reasonable price.

I just tried this using Logger Pro 3.8 and Graphical Analysis 3.4 on my Mac, and was able to repeatedly copy and paste columns into GA from LP without having the old data show up again.

What computer OS are you using? What version of Logger Pro?

Note that Logger Pro does everything that GA does, so that you do have the option of simply using Logger Pro for your graphing.

Our class will be in the Caribbean. We have temperature, conductivity and pH sensors.
we also have the book Earth Science with Computers. In addition to those in this book are there any other experiments that the class can perform with the sensors and if so where can we find the procedures?

I had been researching various forums which had suggested that USB wasn't supported, but i realize now that isn't correct.
It took me a few hours to work out how to install the software, but only a few minutes once I had that worked out.
The Go!temp sensor works wonderfully with LPL, using edubuntu 8.04.

thanks for the software! :)

Has anyone had a problem with copying data from logger pro to graphical analysis 3.4?  It copies 1 column once and seems to lock that into the clipboard beacuse when new data is copied the pasted, the old data reappears?  Very strange!

Logger Pro can easily create tables of data from four (or more) sensors, as long as the sensors are mutually compatible. (Because of electrical interference, certain water quality sensors cannot be used simultaneously.)

You have a number of options in data collection modes after connecting your four sensors. You might take time-based data, or you might use just selected events, where Logger Pro records data only when you command it to take readings. Another common option is events with entry mode, whereby you are prompted for some text or numeric entry after a readings are taken. This last mode lets you label points with location, sample number, etc.

Each of these modes is available in the dialog you get by choosing Data Collection from the Experiment menu.
