LabVIEW 6.1 Run-Time Engine

We have used LabVIEW's Application Builder to create our stand-alone applications. Although these programs are written in LabVIEW you do not need to have LabVIEW installed on your computer to run them. You do need the free LabVIEW 6.1 Run-Time Engine installed on your computer. The run-time engine includes the libraries and other files necessary to execute LabVIEW-built applications and shared libraries, it also includes a browser plug-in that allows clients to view and control VI front panels remotely using a browser.

All applications and shared libraries built with a particular version of LabVIEW will share the same LabVIEW Run-Time Engine installation, so only one installation is required. The run-time engine version number must match the version of LabVIEW in which the stand-alone application was built. Therefore, applications built in LabVIEW 6.1 must have LabVIEW Run-Time Engine, version 6.1. All of our current application were built in LabVIEW 6.1.

Note that after downloading the run-time engine you must open the file and install.
