This book contains 30 labs for biology and life science teachers. Biology with CBL was written for TI-82, TI-83, TI-85, TI-86, or TI-92 graphing calculator, but it can also be used with the TI-73, TI-83 Plus, and TI-92 Plus graphing calculators. The Biology Gas Pressure Sensor, CO2 Gas Sensor, Dissolved Oxygen Probe, Exercise Heart Rate Monitor, and nine more sensors are supported. Each experiment includes student handouts with step-by-step instructions, as well as a teacher's guide. Included with the book are word-processing files for student handouts on disk, so you can edit the labs for your particular situation. |

AP - Similar to labs found in Advanced Placement Biology lab book. Microsoft Word (Macintosh) or Word for Windows files, with all text, figures, and tables, are included on disk. This means you can edit the files for your particular classroom situation. Also included on disk is the data-collection program CHEMBIO. This program is used to monitor sensor readings, collect data in real time, or collect data as a prompted input (e.g., pH vs. volume). As many as three sensors can be used at once. | |
