Physical Science with CBL

by Donald L. Volz and Sandy Sapatka
This book provides 40 ready-to-use labs for physical science teachers using Vernier sensors with a TI-82 or TI-83 graphing calculator and the CBL System, but the experiments can also be performed with the TI-73, TI-83 Plus, TI-86, TI-89, TI-92, and TI-92 Plus. The TI Voltage Probe, Light Probe, and Temperature Probe included with the CBL are also supported. Each experiment includes student handouts with step-by-step instructions, as well as a teacher's guide. Included with the book are the word processing files for the student handouts and the PHYSCI program.

Microsoft Word (Macintosh) or Word for Windows files, with all text, figures, and tables, are included on disk. This means you can edit the files for your particular classroom situation. Also included on disk is the data-collection program CHEMBIO. This program is used to monitor sensor readings, collect data in real time, or collect data as a prompted input (e.g., pH vs. volume). As many as three sensors can be used at once.
