Download Instructions for Windows CBL™ Programs

Help on Downloading the CBL Data Collection Package

  1. After you click on program download link below, all of the CBL Data Collection programs will be downloaded to your hard drive into the directory you specify. It will be a single executable file, which will be named either "cbldpi" or the name you specify. The files are compressed because it is more efficient to compress the files before sending them via the Internet. If you are interested in downloading a single program (such as CHEMBIO or PHYSICS), these are available individually on the previous page. (The same instructions apply to the individual programs as to the complete package.)
  2. Make sure you move the file into its own directory before opening it. This way the CBL programs will all appear together and will not be easily confused with other files.
  3. Once the file is in its own directory, it will either show up with the windows icon () or executable icon (). If it has the executable icon, proceed to step 4. If it has the windows icon, you need to add the extension ".exe" to the file name. To do this, click on the file once and hold down the mouse until the cursor appears. Move the cursor to the end of the file's name and type ".exe" The icon will change to an executable icon as soon as you press return.
  4. Double-click on the file. All of the CBL data collection programs will be unzipped and appear in the active directory.
  5. You can now load these programs into your calculator using the TI-GRAPH LINK™ program.

Help on Downloading Individual Programs, e.g. CHEMBIO, PHYSICS, etc.
After you click the link to an individual program, the program will be downloaded to your hard drive into the directory you specify. If you are using an early version of Netscape Navigator, you may have to right click the file instead of using the left click. Right clicking the file gives you the option of saving the file to the hard drive. Early versions of Netscape would open the file when you clicked them, instead of allowing you to download them. When the file is downloaded, it will be a single program such as "chembio.83g". Be sure to note in which folder the program has been downloaded. You can now load these programs onto your calculator using the TI-GRAPH LINK™ program.
