Serial Box Interface

Software for use with the Serial Box Interface.
Sensors for use with the Serial Box Interface.
Curricular Material for use with the Serial Box Interface.

Before we developed our new LabPro interface, the Serial Box Interface was our best low-cost way to collect data with your Macintosh or IBM Compatible computer! Plug the Serial Box Interface into the serial port, connect your sensors, and graph temperature, pH, pressure, heart rate, light intensity, voltage, and more. Great for chemistry, physical science, or biology.

Note: Serial only. The Serial Box Interface does not work with USB adapters on Windows XP or Windows 2000. Details.

The Serial Box Interface is a legacy product. We recommend the Vernier LabPro or Go! Link (both have USB) instead of the older serial-only Serial Box Interface.

FEATURES:
  • Two analog input channels
  • Sample rate of 50 readings/second
  • 12-bit resolution
  • Operates with a wall-mount power supply or an internal "Smart Battery Holder" for remote data collection. A Serial Box with batteries and a laptop computer make a great portable data acquisition system. (The Smart Battery Holder is sold separately.)
  • Includes cable to computer, power supply, voltage measurement leads, and user's manual.
  • Connection to computer using the serial port
