Vernier Data-Collection Software for Netbooks
Free Data-Collection Software for Low-Cost Netbooks
Netbooks are small, light-weight, low-cost computers that typically have no optical drive. Netbooks are designed primarily for internet use, but Vernier has added a new reason to get netbooks—data collection.
- Netbooks typically run either Windows XP or a variation of Linux, such as Ubuntu 8.
- Our inexpensive Go!Link interface, along with Go!Motion and Go!Temp, are easily connected to a USB port of a netbook.
- While Vernier does not sell netbooks, we do support this exciting new category of computers with Logger Lite and LabQuest App.
- Depending on the screen size and operating system of the netbook, you can run either a special version of Logger Lite (Windows and Linux), or LabQuest App (Linux). The screens are smaller than a traditional laptop, so we take care that dialog boxes are not too large. Best of all, this software is FREE.
