David and Christine Vernier were presented with an Innovative Business Leadership Award from Oregon State University at an awards banquet on May 7, 2009.

As stated by Sherm Bloomer, OSU’s dean of the College of Science, “The company is known for its employee development, family-friendly policies, commitment to sustainability and community philanthropy.”
