We only accept purchase orders from educational institutions.
What is your pricing policy?
All prices are in U.S. dollars and are F.O.B. shipping point. All prices are subject to change without notice.
How much is shipping?
Our estimated shipping charge within the continental United States is 4% with an $11.00 minimum (for UPS Ground). For residential addresses, we have a $14.00 minimum. Increased shipping charges for heavier items, such as for some KidWind items, tracks, Vernier Structures & Materials Tester, Force Plates, may apply due to weight.
Will you charge sales tax on my order?
We are registered to collect sales/use tax in most states; therefore, all orders may be subject to sales/use tax, depending on the ship-to state and the person/entity being billed. A sales tax exemption certificate must be on file to avoid having sales tax added to your order. A district/school sales tax exemption certificate is not valid on an order paid by personal credit card.

Do you have a preview policy?
Most Vernier products are available for a 30-day preview (or longer) to educational institutions. Please contact us to arrange a preview.
What is Vernier’s software site license policy?

We have a very generous site license policy. The purchase of one copy of Logger Pro, LabQuest Viewer, or Graphical Analysis computer software entitles you to install it on every computer in your school or, for post-secondary institutions, department. Logger Lite is available as a free download. Installation to local machines over a network is allowed. Purchasers are also permitted to distribute these programs to their students and instructors for home use. The license is limited to a single campus if your institution has multiple campuses.

Site license terms do not apply to Vernier iOS or Android software products. Vernier iOS software is available through the Apple Volume Purchase Program. Vernier Android software is available through Google Play.

What is your warranty policy?

Vernier warranties cover products used by educational institutions only. Most Vernier-manufactured products carry a five-year limited warranty. Products manufactured by anyone other than Vernier are subject to the conditions of the warranty supplied by the manufacturer (generally one year). There are a few exceptions to this warranty for items such as consumables and products manufactured by other companies. These exceptions can be found in each product’s manual, our catalog, and on our website.

During the warranty, Vernier will repair or replace the item if there is a defect in materials or workmanship. This warranty does not cover damage to the product caused by abuse, improper use, or non-educational use. Outside the warranty, Vernier will attempt to repair most products, often at no charge.

How do I return a product?
A Return Merchandise Authorization, available from Vernier, is required for any product return. Items returned after 30 days of purchase may be subject to a restocking fee. Equipment returned for exchange or credit must be in new condition and in its original packaging. Equipment will not be accepted for exchange or credit, and will be returned to the customer, if the items are marked on, etched, labeled, or otherwise not in like-new condition.

Any product that does not meet your needs may be returned within 30 days for a full refund, subject to the Equipment Return policy.
