What do I need to collect data with Palm® handhelds?

Load the Vernier Data Pro program onto your handheld or Dana, connect it to your LabPro, attach a Vernier sensor, and begin collecting data! Unlike other data-collection software for handhelds, Data Pro independently performs all of the functions that you would expect of a computer with your handheld.

4. Science with Handhelds recommended
We have selected 42 experiments from our popular lab manuals to include in the print version of this manual, but over 230 experiments written for use with Palm OS handhelds are available on the CD that accompanies the manual. Included on the CD are 31 biology/life science experiments, 36 chemistry experiments, 34 physics experiments, 33 Earth science experiments, 40 physical science experiments, 38 middle school experiments, and 16 water quality tests. All experiments support the Data Pro data collection program.

5. Logger Pro 3 recommended
Once data have been collected, it is easy to transfer Data Pro data to a PC or Macintosh computer. Students simply place the handheld into the handheld cradle (or connect Dana to the computer), start up Logger Pro 3, and press the HotSync® button.
