The Vernier Sensor Advantage
Outstanding Performance
Vernier sensors are designed specifically for education and held to high standards for quality and durability. With over 30 years of experience developing technology for education, we design our sensors for active, hands-on experiments.
Curriculum Aligned to State Standards
Vernier sensors are supported by over 400 detailed, engaging experiments written by teachers, scientists, and technology experts.
Connect & Collect
Just connect and you’re ready to collect. All Vernier sensors are automatically detected and set up for data collection when used with Vernier software. It’s student-friendly technology designed for ease of use.
Generous Warranty
Buy with confidence. Most Vernier sensors are covered by a 5-year warranty. Outside the warranty, Vernier will attempt to repair most products, often at no charge.
Sensor and Interface Compatibility
Interface-Connect Sensors
Interface-connect sensors require additional hardware, called an interface. An interface includes a powerful data-acquisition processor to send sensor data to data-collection and analysis software. Most of our sensors are interface-connect to work on a variety of platforms, such as computers, tablets, or TI graphing calculators.
USB Sensors
USB Sensors connect directly to a computer or LabQuest 2, or, in some instances (CBR 2 and EasyTemp), with TI handhelds and calculators. No sensor interface is required.
Wireless Sensors
Wireless sensors communicate directly with host devices (iPad, LabQuest 2, and, in some instances, computers) via Bluetooth communication. No sensor interface is required.
