Vernier LabQuest Support

Logger Pro can collect live data from a LabQuest that is connected to a computer as well as download LabQuest field data for detailed analysis.

Mac OS X 10.6 Support

Logger Pro is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).

Windows 7 Support

Logger Pro is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit). The LabPro and LabQuest USB drivers are signed by Microsoft for installation ease.

Vernier Mini GC Support

Logger Pro now supports Vernier Mini GC Gas Chromatograph for separating, analyzing, and identifying substances contained in a volatile liquid or gaseous sample.

Watts Up Pro Support

Watts Up Pro calculates a wide variety of data, including maximum watts, frequency, and cumulative costs. Logger Pro collects data on the following types of data simultaneously: Real Power, Potential, Current, and Apparent Power.

Improved Spectrometer Support

Logger Pro now supports Vernier and Ocean Optics Spectrometers on Intel-based Macintosh computers. We continue to support spectrometers on PowerPC Macs and on Windows XP and Vista, now without installing additional software.

Auto Graph Match Generator

Do you like using graph-matching exercises with your students? While it's always been possible to create your own additional exercises, now Logger Pro offers a toolbar button that automatically generates a new exercise.

Auto-configured Data Collection

For many purposes, you don't need to configure Logger Pro at all. Connect a sensor, such as a Go! Motion or Go! Temp, or a LabPro with a sensor, and launch Logger Pro. Logger Pro detects your setup, and creates a graph, data table, and digital readout. Data collection parameters are set automatically, so you’re ready to collect data.

Video Capture

Logger Pro now captures video from many devices. Connect a DV camcorder, ProScope HR, and make your own movies for later analysis. You can make a time-lapse movie, synchronized with sensor data, and play both the movie and the sensor data back at high speed. Or just make a video recording of your experiment to go along with your data. Videos are automatically inserted after capture, so there’s no import process to worry about. You can even insert a still photo of your experiment. Image Analysis

Use the power of video analysis to analyze a photo. Record the shape of an object, and set the scale of the photo. Don’t miss the cool catenary curve example included in Logger Pro 3.

Bluetooth Wireless Support

Collect force, acceleration, and altitude data wirelessly with the Wireless Dynamics Sensor System.

GPS Import/Export

Import longitude and latitude information directly into Logger Pro with a GPS unit such as the Vernier GPS Sensor. Then, export your GPS data to a Google™ map for a bird's eye view with satellite imagery!

Video Analysis

Quantitative position information can be obtained from videos. Students can set the scale, define an origin, and track the positions of up to three objects. Double-Y graphs

Sometimes you need to plot two things that have different units or magnitudes on the same graph. You can do this in Logger Pro using the double-y graph feature. For example, plot both pH and the derivative of pH with respect to volume against added volume.

Modeling and Function Plotting

Do your students wonder what the computer is doing when it does automatic curve fits? Logger Pro lets you superimpose the graph of an equation on top of your data—or just the function plot, if you like. You can adjust the parameters in the equation as needed, and see how the graph changes.

Styled Text

You can style text in many places in Logger Pro using bold, italic, underlines, Greek characters, and super and subscripted numbers. Formulas are more readable when they appear as H₂O and Δt.

International Versions

Available in Italian, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, and Korean, Logger Pro allows students all over the world to experience engaging science experiments through discovery.
