Comparing Spectrometers from Vernier

The graphs below are intended to help you decide which spectrometer best fits your needs. They provide performance comparisons of four spectrometers: Ocean Optics USB 4000, Ocean Optics Red Tide, Vernier Spectrometer, and Vernier SpectroVis.

Four identical tests were run to illustrate the quality of data you can expect from each device. The tests include a Beer's law curve showing linearity of absorbance vs. concentration, two absorbance spectral analyses of solutions, and an emissions spectral analysis of a helium gas discharge tube using the optional optical fibers.
