LabPro and CBL 2 OS Update Instructions
Windows Computers
- You will need a TI Connectivity Kit USB cable to install this update.
- Download the VS&Tgl12_update_8.exe to your computer’s desktop.
- Connect your TI Connectivity Kit USB cable between your computer and the LabPro or CBL 2.
- Locate the file that you downloaded on to your computer. Double-click the file to install the software to your LabPro or CBL 2. The update may take up to 10 minutes to complete. If you do not receive a message indicating a successful transfer, check all of your connections and restart the update.
This process will load LabPro/CBL 2 Operating System version 6.27 into your interface. It will also load the most recent DataMate program. For the TI-73, TI-83 Plus and TI-83 Plus Silver Edition, this will be version 1.15. For all other calculators this will be version 6.15.
Mac OS X
- You will need a TI Connectivity Kit USB cable and TI Connect software to install this update.
- Download VS&Tgl_update_8.hex.sea.hqx to your computer’s desktop.
- Launch TI Device Explorer. A device window will open listing the connected device(s).
- Drag and drop the VS&Tgl_update_8.hex file on the name of the CBL 2/LabPro you wish to update.
- Click proceed. You will notice an operation in progress message at the top of the TI Device Explorer Window. Loading may take up to 20 minutes.
