Can I use a Vernier Motion Detector on a Pasco Interface?

Answer

The newer style Pasco Motion Sensor II has the same connector on it as the Vernier Motion Detector, a BTD connection. To connect a Vernier Motion Detector to a Pasco 500, 700, or 750 interface, you need a cable from Pasco, part # 514-06766.

Vernier does not sell this cable, but it is available from Pasco Scientific.

No Vernier sensors can be used with the Pasco PASPort system. Interestingly, older Pasco sensors for the 300, 600, 700, or 750 interfaces are also incompatible with Pasco's PASPort system.
