Why does my Quickcam 5000 software keep crashing?

Answer

There is a known problem with the software included on the CD included with the Quickcam 5000. Some of the Quickcam software components will crash and then restart, only to crash again.

The solution is to update to the current drivers for the 5000 from the Logitech web site,
