Most calculated columns created in LabQuest 1.3 can be read by Logger Pro 3.8. Earlier versions of LabQuest App or Logger Pro will have problems with most calculated columns, and are not recommended if transfer is required.

Moving files with calculated columns from Logger Pro to LabQuest requires that the particular calculated columns be in the same format as columns in LabQuest. As a result LabQuest cannot read some columns from Logger Pro.

When calculated columns are created in LabQuest App, data collected, and then a qmbl file is saved and then opened in Logger Pro (or the LabQuest data is imported to Logger Pro), most calculated columns will be imported correctly.

A different class of calculated column failures is caused by non-unique column names, this is fixed in LabQuest OS 1.4 and Logger Pro 3.8.2: LabQuest allows two columns to have the same name. This would happen when there are two or more temperature sensors, for example. One could define a calculated column based on the sum of the two columns. When this calculated column is read by Logger Pro, the function would fail because it will not refer to the correct columns.

There are also various calculated column failures in languages other than English. As of Logger Pro 3.8.4 and LabQuest 1.5.1, there are no known issues, however there have been various issues in previous versions, especially when the LabQuest and Logger Pro are running in different languages.
