Original LabQuest
This information pertains to the original LabQuest.
If you have LabQuest 2, see LabQuest 2 FAQs and Troubleshooting

It is possible that your Accelerometer will not Auto-ID correctly when connected to LabQuest.

The problem is caused by tolerances on the components of the Accelerometer. A temporary workaround is to connect the sensor to a different channel of LabQuest.

LabQuest units manufactured after May of 2008 will no longer exhibit this behavior and can compensate for any weakness in the sensors. If you have this problem, contact Vernier, and we will upgrade your LabQuest.
