Some Current Probes do not Auto-ID correctly when connected to LabQuests that were manufactured prior to May 2008.
The problem is caused by tolerances on the components of the Current Probe, but can be compensated for by a minor firmware update performed by Vernier. A temporary workaround is to connect the sensor to a different channel of the LabQuest.
LabQuest units manufactured after May 2008 no longer exhibit this behavior. If you have this problem, contact Vernier, and we will upgrade your LabQuest at no charge.
