Support by Product

It is possible for some Current Probes to Auto ID incorrectly with a LabQuest.

The problem is caused by tolerances on the components of the Current Probe, but can be compensated for by a minor firmware update to the LabQuest performed by Vernier. A temporary workaround is to plug the sensor into a different channel of the LabQuest.

LabQuest units manufactured after May of 2008 will no longer exhibit this behavior and can compensate for any weakness in the sensors. If you have this problem, contact Vernier, and we will upgrade your LabQuest at not charge.
