In rare circumstances, when you try to reboot from the Control Panel, the LabQuest can get hung up on the rebooting dialog. Normally a hard reset (using the reset button) will bring it back. If not contact Vernier for a replacement LabQuest. For detail on how to do a hard reset, see:
TIL 1777: How do I reboot or reset a LabQuest?

Any unit that has this problem should be marked in some way (such as sticky note on the back of the unit). It is possible that there is a software problem with the unit that causes it to get stuck in reboot. If the unit continues to have problems, contact Vernier for a replacement LabQuest.

For a complete description of this problem, see:
TIL 1886: LabQuest App freezes and the power button does not shut off the LabQuest.
