I am getting a \"Battery Fault!!! Replace Battery\" message on LabQuest

Answer

Sometimes the LabQuest Battery Monitor applet incorrectly detects that the battery is defective and displays a message indicating that there is a battery fault: "Battery Fault!!! Replace Battery".

If you see this message, there is a good chance that the message is incorrect and that the battery is actually OK. Reboot the LabQuest to see if the message goes away.

If the message does not reappear, the battery is OK. If the message returns there are two possibilities:
--If the battery is less than a year old, contact Vernier technical support to arrange to replace the battery.
--If the battery is more than a year old, replacement batteries are available: LabQuest Replacement Battery, order code LQ-BAT, $19.00.
