Question
Why are the movie, video capture, and gel analysis options grayed out in Logger Pro?
Answer
This is a Windows-only issue.
The movie, video capture, and gel analysis features require the QuickTime video player to be installed on your computer. If QuickTime is not installed, these options will be grayed out. A QuickTime player installer is included in the Logger Pro Full Install, but it is not included in the Minimal Install.
If you already have Logger Pro installed, you can install QuickTime separately. To do this, download the QuickTime player installer from:
When installing Logger Pro using the full installer, be sure to allow the QuickTime player to install. If you happen to have a newer version of QuickTime player than what will be installed, you will be given an option to skip the QuickTime install. Doing so will not affect your ability to interact with movies in Logger Pro as your computer already has the software.
