How do I use videos from Flip Camcorders on a Mac?

Flip video cameras use an unusual codec that is not available in Quicktime for Macintosh by default.

To use Flip videos in Logger Pro, install the Flipshare (version 5 or newer) software that comes with the camera, and get that software working first. That will install the necessary codec so that Quicktime (and hence Logger Pro) can play these movies.
