The internal microphone on LabQuest 2 does not collect data at the expected rate.

A bug in LabQuest App on LabQuest 2 prevents the internal microphone from operating at any rates other than 8000 or 11,025 Hz. Despite what is entered in the Data Collection dialog, the rate will be one of these two rates, whichever is closer.

Regardless, the actual rate will be correct, just sometimes not what was requested.

This problem should be fixed in LabQuest App 2.1, due in September 2012.

For computer users:
If a data rate other than 8000 Hz is requested in Logger Pro 3.8.5.x, the actual data rate will be 8000 Hz. As a result the time column is reported incorrectly. Use only the 8000 Hz rate with Logger Pro at this time.

This problem should be fixed in Logger Pro 3.8.6, due in September 2012.
