Yes, you can attach our Go Direct® Acceleration Sensor (GDX-ACC) to the green, metal carts from the Vernier Dynamics System (VDS, discontinued) using the gray, plastic bracket (A) that came with the accelerometer and the small thumbscrews/hex bolts that came with the cart and track.
The accelerometer is long enough that it rests on the edges of the cart and hex bolts are just barely long enough to reach up to it. There are about 2-3 threads exposed, enough to hold the accelerometer firmly in place.
Note: Attaching it this way orients the accelerometer such that you will want to record data from its y-axis, rather than the default channel (x-axis).
