Connecting a Go Direct® Force and Acceleration Sensor (GDX-FOR) to your Scratch 3 project can be done within the Scratch app.

If you are just starting a new project, do the following:
1. Turn on the Go Direct Force and Acceleration sensor.
2. Launch the Scratch Link app, if you haven’t done so already.
3. In the Scratch editor window, click on the Extensions menu in the lower-left corner.
4. Select the Go Direct Force and Acceleration extension.
5. Scratch will open a new window and create a list of available devices. Select your device from the list; you can identify your device by matching its ID number.
6. You’re ready to go! Scratch will connect to the device and add the Force and Acceleration blocks to the block menu on the left side of the Scratch editor window.

If you have opened a project that already has the Force and Acceleration extension loaded, you will still need to connect to the device.
1. Turn on the sensor.
2. On a PC or Mac, launch the Scratch Link app, if you have not done so already. Note: Scratch Link is not required when using the Scratch App (not web editor) on iOS, Android, and ChromeOS.
3. In the blocks menu on the left side of the Scratch editor window, scroll down the Force and Acceleration blocks. Click on the small orange exclamation point next to the “Force and Acceleration” subheading. This will launch the connection window.
4. Scratch will create a list of available devices. Select your device from the list; you can identify your device by matching its ID number.
6. You’re ready to go!
