Connection instructions

  1. Start the data-collection software and choose New from the File menu.
  2. Connect the sensor to your interface.
  3. Connect the interface to the USB port of the computer.
  4. The software will identify the sensor and load a default data-collection setup. You are now ready to continue your experiment.

Make sure you are running the latest version of Logger Pro 3. Logger Lite does not support this option.

Supported Bluetooth interface

LabQuest Stream

Connection instructions

  1. Ensure your LabQuest Stream is charged or connected to AC power.
  2. Connect the sensor to LabQuest Stream.
  3. Turn on your LabQuest Stream by pressing the power button once.
    • The Power LED will glow green and the Bluetooth LED will flash blue.
  4. Pair LabQuest Stream with your computer.
    • The LabQuest Stream serial number, shown on the back label, is the device name.
    • Windows: Open the Settings dialog for Windows, navigate to the Bluetooth settings, and pair with your LabQuest Stream.
    • macOS: Open System Settings, navigate to the Bluetooth settings, and pair with your LabQuest Stream.
  5. Start Logger Pro 3 and choose New from the File menu.
  6. From the Experiment menu, choose Connect Interface > Wireless LabQuest Stream > Scan for Wireless LabQuest Stream.
  7. Select your LabQuest Stream from the list of discovered devices.
    • When connected, the Bluetooth LED on the LabQuest Stream will glow blue (no longer flashing).
  8. The software will identify the sensor and load a default data-collection setup. You are now ready to continue your experiment.

Data Sharing lets you stream data collected with Logger Pro 3 to multiple devices that are running Graphical Analysis or Graphical Analysis Pro. Your computer must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your devices. (Logger Lite does not supported this option.)

  1. Connect the sensor to Logger Pro 3 via USB or Bluetooth interface connection as described above.
  2. Enable Data Sharing in Logger Pro 3.
  3. Launch Graphical Analysis on the device you wish to Data Share with.
  4. Click or tap
  5. Choose your computer from the list of discovered Data Sharing sources.
    • If your version of Graphical Analysis has the Graphical Analysis Pro features unlocked, choose the Local data sharing option to see the discovered devices.
    • If your computer does not show up in the list, click or tap and enter the IP address and port of your computer.
  6. The Graphical Analysis app will connect to your computer. You are now ready to continue your experiment.

Note: Logger Pro 3 cannot receive data via Data Sharing, it can only act as a Data Sharing source.

    • Choose when using a LabQuest Mini or LabQuest Stream.
    • Choose when using an original LabQuest, LabQuest 2, or LabQuest 3 as an interface.
    • Choose when using a Go!Link interface.
  6. Select your interface from the list of discovered USB (HID) devices, then click or tap Connect.
  7. Click or tap, .
  8. The app will load a default data-collection setup. You are now ready to continue your experiment.

      • When connected, the LED on the Go Wireless Link will flash green.
      • Tap Done to enter data-collection mode.
    • LabQuest Stream
      • Source option: LabQuest Stream

      • When connected, the Bluetooth LED will glow blue (no longer flashing).

  4. Turn on LabQuest and choose New from the File menu.
  5. Choose Wireless Device Setup > Go Wireless… from the Sensors menu.
  6. Choose your Go Wireless Link from the list of discovered devices and tap OK.
    • The Go Wireless Link name is user configurable.
    • The LED on the Go Wireless Link will now flash green.
  7. The app will identify the sensor and load a default data-collection setup. You are now ready to continue your experiment.

Data Sharing lets you stream data collected on a LabQuest 2 or LabQuest 3 to multiple devices that are running Graphical Analysis or Graphical Analysis Pro. Your LabQuest must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your devices.
