These specifications are for the Go Direct® Mini GC (GDX-GC)

*Always start by measuring a pure compound to see if your mixture and/or unknown can be detected by the Go Direct Mini GC. See a list of compounds that can be detected here: Go Direct® Mini GC (GDX-GC)

For pure samples of nonpolar compounds, follow these instructions to start:
1. Set the start temperature at ~10°C below the boiling point of the compound.
2. Make sure the final temperature ends above the boiling point.
3. The pressure should initially be set to 11 kPa.
4. Inject 0.2 uL of the pure compound.

For pure samples of polar compounds, follow these instructions to start:
1. Set the start temperature at ~10°C below the boiling point of the compound.
2. Make sure the final temperature ends above the boiling point.
3. The pressure should initially be set to 15 kPa.
4. Inject 0.2 uL of the pure compound.

You will need to tweak your setup for your particular compound. You will also need to play around with the settings for mixtures. Some examples of pure compounds and their temperature/pressure profiles are available in the book that accompanies your purchase.
