Using Video Capture and Analysis in Introductory Physics Classes
|
Instructors: Priscilla Laws, Dickinson College; Robert Teese, Rochester Institute of Technology This workshop is for physics teachers who wish to explore the use of video capture and analysis in classes, laboratories, homework, and student projects. Participants will learn how to use the Logger Pro software to create and analyze short QuickTime movies. We will show how to combine data obtained using video analysis with sensor data. We will discuss educationally effective video analysis curricular materials developed in the LivePhoto Physics project, the Workshop Physics project and in other settings. We will also demonstrate how the advanced features in the VideoPoint software can be used in extended student projects. Evaluation copies of analysis software, selected digital video clips and homework assignments will be provided for use after the workshop.
The $____ registration fee includes lunch and workshop handouts. |
