Lake Hills, a culturally-diverse school with high poverty, became a STEM Magnet school this 2011-2012 school year. From grades pre-K to 5, the magnet school focuses on many STEM disciplines, including life science, physics and robotics, to prepare their students to be future leaders in the STEM field.
The Vernier grant will help the school implement the many initiatives they have planned for their students. The grant will support the school’s STEM goals by providing authenticate technology tools for students to use in conjunction with the school’s innovative standards-based curriculum.
