Battery Challenge

Introduction

The goal of this challenge is for teams of students to develop a protocol that will allow them evaluate the performance of batteries of different types and makes. This practical application of the principles learned during a unit on electricity will provide students with some insight to a device they use daily. In addition, it should give them some perspective of how manufactured goods are tested to ensure quality.

Learning Outcomes

Students develop and execute a test method for evaluating a consumer product by applying physics principles.
