The Imaging Hood enhances the image quality of gels being observed by eliminating most ambient light and reflections. Used as part of the Blue Digital Bioimaging System (discontinued), the Imaging Hood is placed over the stand and BlueView Transilluminator when photographing gel results.
The hood’s side access port allows the user to positioned gel, focus camera and adjust the light intensity on the BlueView Transilluminator. In addition to its use with the Blue DBS, the Imaging Hood and ProScope Stand accommodate most handheld digital cameras. The small port at the top of the hood can be opened to observe the image while eliminating the effect of external light. This rugged semi-rigid hood can also be used with other transilluminators, offering overall utility and adaptability.
