Each lab book includes a searchable PDF of the entire book, word-processing files for student experiments, teacher information files including sample data and graphs, a complete materials and supplies list, and other supplemental resources.
The printed version includes everything in the electronic version, plus a printed copy of the book.
- Drop Counter vs. buret
You can perform a number of titration experiments from Vernier Chemistry Investigations for Use with AP* Chemistry with either a buret or a Go Direct Drop Counter. When the Go Direct Drop Counter is connected with a sensor (e.g., pH, conductivity), the software will automatically set up the correct data-collection mode for you. Remember that the sensor in the solution has a limit on how fast it can respond, so make sure to set the drop rate to between 1 and 2 seconds per drop. Also, stir your solution really well during the titration.
- Go Direct Electrode Amplifier with pH and ORP
- The Go Direct Electrode Amplifier has two preset channels built in; pH and mV. You can interchange the electrodes attached to it, mwhich means you can use the same Go Direct Electrode Amplifier with either a pH or an ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) electrode to save money. When you set up your order, purchase the Go Direct® pH Sensor and a Go Direct® ORP BNC Electrode. The option to change between pH and mV is built into Graphical Analysis 4.
