NODE, by Variable Inc., is a wireless sensor platform controlled by a mobile device. Sensor modules are available to measure temperature, light, relative humidity, and more.

NODE Sensor Platform

The NODE Sensor Platform allows students to explore concepts in topics such as Earth science, environmental science, and physical science. Use Vernier’s Graphical Analysis for data collection and analysis on an iPad. Data can also be collected using the NODE apps from Variable Technologies on iOS or Android devices (Android devices require NODE for iOS/Android).

The NODE Sensor Platform includes a 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer. Two expansion ports allow you to connect additional sensor modules (sold separately). Sensor modules are available to measure temperature, light, relative humidity, and more.

  • Sensitivity: 0.3 µT

Gyroscope Specifications

  • Range (degrees-per-second): 250, 500, 1000, 2000
  • Sensitivity (degrees-per-second): 0.00763, 0.015, 0.03, 0.06

NODE Sensor Modules

NODE sensor modules attach to the NODE expansion ports for additional sensors. THERMA and CLIMA are supported by Vernier Graphical Analysis for iPad for data collection and analysis.

Additional Sensor Modules

These additional sensor modules are not supported in Graphical Analysis software but may be used with the NODE apps from Variable Technologies. Read the descriptions and specifications of the sensors carefully to determine if they are appropriate for your needs. Show additional modules
