Data Sharing Apps

Collect, Analyze, and Annotate Sensor Data with iPad®, Android Tablets, and other Mobile Devices

Lab group members collaboratively collect data from an experiment, and each student analyzes a copy of the data on an individual device. Use analysis tools in class or at home; print graphs or save data for lab reports and further analysis.

Choose a Data Sharing App

To wirelessly stream sensor data from a Data Sharing source, you can use either a Graphical Analysis app or the Vernier Data Share web app.

With iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and Android tablets and phones, we recommend Graphical Analysis iOS and Android app. If your classroom has Chromebooks, we recommend Graphical Analysis for Chrome. If your classroom has a mix of devices, we recommend Vernier Data Share.

Data Sharing Apps
Graphical Analysis for iPad

Recommended for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and Android Devices.

Students use the Graphical Analysis app to wirelessly collect, analyze, annotate, save, and send sensor data from Data Sharing sources. Take advantage of multi-touch interfaces for a fluid, intuitive, and personal experience. Data can also be manually entered for enhanced graphing and analysis opportunities.

Graphical Analysis for Chrome

Recommended for Chrome and Chromebooks.

Students can connect wirelessly to a Data Sharing source to collect, graph, and analyze data from Vernier sensors on Chromebooks or computers with the Chrome browser.

Vernier Data Share
Graphical Analysis for iPad

Recommended for Mixed-Device Classrooms.

Students use the Vernier Data Share web app with compatible browsers to wirelessly collect, analyze, and save sensor data from Data Sharing sources.
