Biology Educational Technology Specialist
After receiving his B.S. in Secondary Science Education and his M.Ed. from the University of Portland, Mike taught Biology, Advanced Biology, Chemistry, Math, and Special Education in rural and urban schools in Oregon for over 20 years. He spent his youth on farms and ranches, gaining insight and exposure to animal husbandry and crop growth dynamics, and he spent several years working with the USDA Forest Service as a biological technician working with forest pathologists in the Northwest.
Mikes enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf with his son, and volunteering at church- and school-related events. Mike helped to establish and continues to help maintain Vernier’s 125-gallon saltwater aquarium that resides in the front entry of the Vernier office.
