Why does Windows 2000 or XP warn me that the LabPro USB driver is untested?

If you are using Logger Pro 3.3 or Graphical Analysis 3.3 and older, Windows XP and 2000 will display a dialog box when a LabPro is first connected by USB. See below for more information. Note: This issue has been resolved in version 3.4 and newer and our new drive is signed and approved by Microsoft. The latest version of Logger Pro can be downloaded from our website at:

Windows 2000
Note: The last version of Logger Pro to support Windows 2000 is 3.6.0.

The warning screens are shown because Microsoft has not tested the LabPro USB driver, not because the driver is actually harmful.

To install the driver software, you must be logged in as an administrator and choose Yes in Windows 2000 or Continue Anyway in windows XP. You must install the driver software for each USB port on your computer or LabPro will not work on other USB ports.
