Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is a non-profit that provides curriculum, training, and purchasing guides to STEM educators in high schools in the U.S. It is known for its engineering programs, and more recently its biomedical sciences program. It is in thousands of schools in 50 states, and continues to grow. We are proud to include Project Lead the Way as one of our Strategic Alliances:

PLTW began using Vernier sensors (physiology and biology ) when they created their biomedical course. In 2011, they expanded the use of Vernier sensors (Dual-Range Force Sensor, Force Plate, and Turbidity) into the engineering curriculum. In 2014, they revised their Biological Engineering course (formerly Biotech Engineering) and added our pH sensor and Colorimeter to their purchasing guide for this class.

PLTW created a middle school curriculum in 2000 called Gateway that uses the KidWind materials. An elementary school program called Launch is being piloted in 2014.
