Update on September 23, 2013: Developer access has now been provided for Windows 8.1 RTM (Release To Manufacturing). Most recent testing with the RTM shows no bluescreen during installation.

Installing Logger Pro 3.8.6.1 installs a driver that causes Windows 8.1 (preview) to bluescreen during the installation. Only the installation fails; no damage is done to the computer. The Logger Pro installation that remains after the bluescreen will not launch.

The workaround is to use the RTM version. We are working to update Logger Pro so that its drivers are compatible with Windows 8.1 but will not do so if the GA (General Availability) release behaves as the RTM version (no bluescreen)

Vernier does not recommend using Logger Pro with unreleased operating systems.
