Vernier warranties cover products used by educational institutions only. Most Vernier-manufactured products carry a five-year limited warranty. Products manufactured by anyone other than Vernier are subject to the conditions of the warranty supplied by the manufacturer. There are a few exceptions to this warranty for consumables and products with known limited lifespans. These exceptions can be found in each product’s manual, our catalog, and at https://www.vernier.com/ordering/warranty-policy/

During the warranty, Vernier will repair or replace the item if there is a defect in materials or workmanship. This warranty does not cover damage to the product caused by abuse or improper use, or non-educational use. Outside the warranty, Vernier will often attempt to repair the product (exceptions are broken clips and burned, broken or exposed wires). If a repair is possible and there is a cost involved, you will be contacted by our RMA Coordinator for approval and payment information. If it is irreparable, you will be informed, and we will be happy to recycle the unit for you.
