In many cases you can use the Vernier Energy sensor in place of the following sensors:

Differential Voltage Probe (DVP-BTA)
Current Probe (DCP-BTA)
Voltage Probe (VP-BTA)
30-Volt Voltage Probe (30V-BTA)

You can use the diagram on the back of the sensor as a guide for how voltage and current will be measured.

There are some experiments that will not work well with the Vernier Energy Sensor. For example, investigating an RL Circuit according to instructions in Advanced Physics With Vernier – Beyond Mechanics experiment 14 will not work with the Energy Sensor because the currents involved are smaller than the resolution of the current sensor. We recommend the Differential Voltage Probe (DVP-BTA) and Current Probe (DCP-BTA) for that experiment and any others where expected values for current are smaller than 2 mA.
