Yes. Using the tackle provided with the Structures & Materials Testers you can apply a load to a beam in a 3-point and 4-point test. One method is to use high strength line through an eye bolt attached to the load cell. This can be arranged so that a single strand of line goes over the sample resting on the cross bars (for a 3-point test), or two strands for a 4-point test.
