We have a couple of 3D printers here in the office and think they are great tools for exploring new product ideas. Our Engineering Education group has a publicly shared collection of interesting 3D-printable accessories, some designed by us and some by classroom teachers, on our Thingiverse webpage. Thingiverse is a online repository to collect and share 3D-printable designs. Among the collections on our page, you’ll find a variety of designs you can print to use with your Vernier sensors and equipment. For instance, you’ll find an extra mass tray for our DTS carts (Standard Cart (DTS-CART-S)), a widget that centers a burette above a Drop Counter (Drop Counter (VDC-BTD)), and the wind turbine nose cones used in the Spring 2016 Caliper article “Can Adding a Nose Cone Improve Turbine Efficiency?”

If you have an accessory for your lab or classroom, we’d love to see it. Send a link, design file, or idea to engineering@vernier.com.
