1. Place the new Go Direct® Optical Dissolved Oxygen Replacement Cap (GDX-ODO-CAP) on the Go Direct® Optical Dissolved Oxygen Probe (GDX-ODO). Note the four digit code on the side of the cap.
  2. Put the probe in a beaker of distilled water for at least one hour.
  3. Put distilled water in the ODO storage bottle so that it covers the sponge at the bottom. (You do not want to put too much in–the tip of the probe should not be touching the water.)
  4. Put the probe back in the storage bottle and let sit upright for at least 30 minutes. (Make sure there isn’t too much water. You do not want the tip to be touching the water.)
  5. After 30 min, connect the probe to Graphical Analysis (v. 4.8 or newer).
  6. From the Sensor menu, click or tap on the Device Information icon next to the connected device’s serial number.
  7. Once in Device Information, click or tap on Advanced.
  8. Select the value that corresponds the the last digit of the ODO cap code. Click or tap Save.
  9. Close out of the Device Information window and the Sensor menu.
  10. Next you will want to calibrate the sensor. Click or tap on Sensor Actions (the live readout in the bottom right hand corner) and select Calibrate.
  11. Follow the instructions on the screen to calibrate the probe.
