By default, our force sensors show positive readings when the sensor is pulled and negative readings when the sensor is pushed. Reversing the sign of the force reading can be helpful when your experiment uses a particular coordinate system, such as in an impulse-momentum experiment, or when using multiple force sensors at the same time, like in a Newton’s 3rd Law experiment.

In Logger Pro:
1) Click the live force readout in the upper-left corner to bring up the Sensor Set Up window.
2) Click the channel/image of the force sensor to bring up the sensor options.
3) Select the “Reverse Direction” option.

In LabQuest App:
1) On the Meter screen, tap on the live readout of the force value.
2) Select the “Reverse” option.
