If you don&#8217;t have Spectral Analysis installed, please download and install it first.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/software-releases.graphicalanalysis.com\/sa\/win\/release\/latest\/Vernier-Spectral-Analysis.exe\">Download for Windows<\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/software-releases.graphicalanalysis.com\/sa\/mac\/release\/latest\/Vernier-Spectral-Analysis.dmg\">Download for macOS<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"has-very-light-gray-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Spectral Analysis in a Browser<br \/><\/strong>If you cannot install software on your computer, you can use Spectral Analysis in a Chrome or Edge browser. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/get-started\/spectrometers\/browser\/\">See instructions for Spectral Analysis in a browser<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"usb\">Connect Your Spectrometer Using USB<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect the sensor to the USB port of your device.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-kb-palette-6-background-color has-background\">\n<li>For Go Direct spectrophotometers, do not connect the power supply, it is not needed when connecting via USB.<\/li>\n<li>For the Go Direct SpectroVis Plus, it is recommended that you remove the battery when connecting via USB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Launch Spectral Analysis. The app will identify the spectrometer.<\/li>\n<li>Select the desired experiment type, then follow the software instructions to continue with data collection.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bluetooth\">Connect Your Go Direct Spectrometer Using Bluetooth\u00ae<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Follow the steps appropriate for your spectrometer to prepare the spectrometer for data collection.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Go Direct SpectroVis Plus<\/strong>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list has-kb-palette-6-background-color has-background\">\n<li>Ensure your Go Direct SpectroVis Plus is charged. We do not recommend collecting data with the AC power connected.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on your spectrometer by pressing the power button once. The power LED will glow green and the Bluetooth<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> LED will flash blue.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Go Direct Emissions Spectrometer<\/strong><br \/>The following applies to the Go Direct Emissions Spectrometer and the Go Direct Visible Spectrophotometer in emissions configuration.\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list has-kb-palette-6-background-color has-background\">\n<li>Connect the spectrometer at a USB power adapter or to a powered USB hub. The Bluetooth<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> LED will flash blue. Note: To use the spectrometer via Bluetooth<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, do not plug the USB cable into your computer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Go Direct UV-VIS, Go Direct Fluorescence\/UV-VIS, and Go Direct Visible Spectrophotometers<\/strong>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list has-kb-palette-6-background-color has-background\">\n<li>Connect the AC Power Supply to the spectrophotometer. This supplies power to the lamp (unnecessary for emissions experiments).<\/li>\n<li>Turn the power switch to the ON position. Wait for the lamp indicator LED to remain green.<\/li>\n<li>To power the Bluetooth<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> radio, connect the spectrometer to the USB power adapter or to a powered USB hub. The Bluetooth<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> LED will flash blue.
