In addition to the Power Amplifier, you will need one of the following: a LabQuest device\u2014<a href=\"\/product\/labquest-3\/\">LabQuest 3<\/a> (<nobr>LABQ3<\/nobr>), <a href=\"\/product\/labquest-2\/\">LabQuest 2<\/a> (<nobr>LABQ2<\/nobr>), original <a href=\"\/product\/original-labquest\/\">LabQuest<\/a> (<nobr>LABQ<\/nobr>)<sup><strong>^<\/strong><\/sup>, or a <a href=\"\/product\/labpro\/\">LabPro<\/a> (<nobr>LABPRO<\/nobr>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-very-light-gray-background-color has-background has-small-font-size\"><strong><sup>^<\/sup><\/strong> Original LabQuest must be running v1.3 or newer.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Using a LabQuest device<\/h3>\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect the Power Amplifier to the LabQuest audio out port using the audio cable. <\/li>\n<li>Connect the LabQuest to the computer via USB. <\/li>\n<li>Launch Logger <em>Pro<\/em>. <\/li>\n<li>From the Experiment menu, choose Set Up Sensors > Show All Interfaces. This will display the sensor set up box. <\/li>\n<li>Click the Power Amplifier button. This will display the Power Amplifier controls. <\/li>\n<li>Select a waveform, frequency, and amplitude. <\/li>\n<li>For the sine, square wave, ramp and triangle waveforms, you can set the frequency using the keyboard, the \u00d72 and \u00f72 buttons, or the slider. The Power Amplifier can be used to amplify that output so that larger loads can be used. The analog output is available only on CH4 of LabPro.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect the supplied BTA cable between the current sense output on the Power Amplifier and CH4 on LabPro.<\/li>\n<li>Connect any other sensors, such as voltage probes, to other inputs.<\/li>\n<li>Launch Logger <em>Pro<\/em>. Choose Parameter Controls from the Insert menu to add these to your Logger <em>Pro <\/em>session.
